Stuffed Cabbage Rolls in Tomato SauceIngredients1 medium green cabbage500 g ground meat (beef, pork, or a mix)100 g rice (uncooked)1 egg1 onion, finely chopped400 ml tomato sauceSalt and pepper to tasteInstructionsPrepare the cabbageBring a large pot of water to a boil.Place the whole cabbage in the boiling water for a few minutes until the outer leaves become soft.Carefully separate the leaves and set them aside.Make the fillingIn a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, rice, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper.Mix until well combined.Assemble the rollsPlace a spoonful of filling onto each cabbage leaf.Fold the sides over the filling, then roll tightly.Cook the rollsArrange the rolls in a large pan or oven dish.Pour the tomato sauce over them.Cover and simmer on low heat for 1–1.5 hours, or bake in the oven at 180 °C for about 1 hour, until the rice is cooked and the rolls are tender.ServeServe hot with extra tomato sauce on top.
