Cherry Heart Puff Pastries

Description:

Flaky puff pastry hearts filled with creamy custard and topped with sweet cherries — a beautiful and delicious treat for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, or any special moment.

Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

½ cup pastry cream (or vanilla pudding)

½ cup cherry pie filling (or cooked fresh cherries with sugar)

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tbsp water

2 tbsp sugar (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions :

1.Preheat oven to 400°F 200°C line a baking sheet with parchment paper

2.Roll out puff pastry slightly cut into heart shapes with cookie cutter or knife

3.Score a smaller heart inside each leaving a border to puff when baking

4.Fill centers with pastry cream and place a few cherries on top

5.Beat egg with water brush pastry edges sprinkle sugar if desired

6.Bake 15–18 minutes until golden puffed and crisp

7.Cool slightly before serving enjoy warm or at room temperature

Yield: 6–8 pastries
